Meet Our Team
Idaho Dog Park
Get to Know Our Mission
At Idaho Dog Park, our mission is simple: to provide a safe, enriching place where dogs feel secure, cared for, and genuinely loved.
As a family-owned business, we know that leaving your dog in someone else’s care requires trust. That’s why every detail of our dog daycare, boarding, and dog spa services are built around the well-being of the dogs in our care. From maintaining exceptional health and safety standards to creating calm, structured environments that support dogs emotionally and physically, our goal is always the same — to treat every dog as if they were our own.
What truly sets Idaho Dog Park apart is the way we care for the little moments. Whether that means sitting with a dog during mealtime, taking a quiet walk with one who needs a break, giving extra one-on-one attention, or making sure our senior dogs are comfortable and cozy, we believe thoughtful care makes all the difference.
Our dedicated team of technicians is carefully selected for their compassion, attentiveness, and understanding of canine behavior. Together, we work to ensure that every dog who walks through our doors is safe, supported, and never just a number.
The relationships we build with our dogs — and with the families who love them — are the most rewarding part of what we do.
A Family Affair - Scott and Jennifer Nichols
Scott and Jennifer Nichols have lived in Boise for over 30 years. Scott hails originally from Michigan and loves riding his mules and training pointers. Jennifer is from Colorado and loves every kind of dog but has a soft spot for her Bernese Mountain dogs.
Scott and Jennifer are both graduates of Colorado State University and are the proud parents of two amazing daughters who grew up loving the outdoors and animals. Their daughter Kelsey showed horses in 4-H and open shows, is a graduate of BSU, and manages a sheep ranch in California.
Their daughter Laura helps lead the Idaho Dog Park as its General Manager. Idaho Dog Park is an extension of our love for our pets and family and a positive way to share that with other pet owners.
Laura Nichols - General Manager
Hi, my name is Laura! I manage Idaho Dog Park working alongside my parents, whom I adore!
In 2016 I graduated from the College of Idaho with a major in Biology. From there, I traveled abroad to work in Kenya and Tanzania. Although I was there to pursue a medical career, I spent every minute of my spare time raising money for a street dog in Tanzania, which pushed me to reevaluate my plans of applying to medical school.
After working in a doggy daycare leading up to college graduation, my parents graciously offered me the opportunity to be part of their dream, and the rest was history!
My husband, Justin, and I love camping and being parents to our beautiful sons Leo and Luke. We're also proud parents of four fur babies, two llamas, and six chickens!
I am honored to be part of this amazing company, and I look forward to seeing all our clients and their pups, every day!!
Keana - Operations Manager
Aloha! I'm Keana! Animals have been my passion my whole life. My pack includes my handsome shepherds Loki and Fenrir, a bunny named Tesseract, a leopard gecko named Thor and two axolotls!
You'll also often catch Hela, Loki's sister, by my side! Growing up, I loved the movie "Hotel for Dogs"; it always looked like something I would want to do someday. Doggy daycare is PRETTY close to a "hotel" for dogs! I absolutely love my job!!
I have been here for nearly 6 years now and couldn't imagine it any other way, this is my pack.
